Joy – Volume I

\ Challenge

In the business of looking on the brighter side, Montauk Lighting Co held an art exhibition to raise funds for the continuation of art workshops at Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH). The opportunity to create and focus upon art during hospital stays can be transformative. At the very least it breaks up long and difficult days; at best, it can be a path to a new passion or even a career. The exhibition (aptly named Joy) required an identity that would uplift, inspire and scintillate as effectively as the art itself.

\ Outcome

We created a smile-inducing system that grabbed attention for a great cause across digital, print, and OOH formats while allowing space for each artwork to truly shine. The results were glowing. Montauk Lighting Co raised a total of $54,018 – enough to fund two years of in-hospital art workshops for sick children, facilitated by established WA artists and run by the Starlight Foundation, and a prize in the Youth Category Lester Prize Portraiture Awards for those at PCH.
